We've already told you about the best conveyor belt sushi in all of Japan, but if you're after something more special or upscale then KINKA Sushi in Tokyo is the place to be. After exploring the vibrant Roppongi district in Tokyo, we wanted to have a "fancy lunch". In comes KINKA Sushi! First things first, the interior. Oh how cool this place is! There are multiple booths, perfect for families or people looking for a bit more privacy, and larger tables for people who want to host parties or visit with some friends. However, for the best experience we recommend sitting at the fancy bar, where you can be in the middle of the action. Yes, you can watch the chefs do their thing without feeling guilty. 😉 We sat at the bar and absolutely loved it here, we highly recommend doing the same. On to the food then, which is absolutely fantastic. On the menu you can find, as the name KINKA Sushi suggests, sushi. However, don't expect any kind of standard sushi, as KINKA specializes in aburi sushi. Aburi means “blowtorched”, which means that every piece of sushi will get a nice grill and arrive on your plate fresh and hot. This was so cool and absolutely delicious. Now, if you want to experience the best of the best, visit KINKA during the weekend. That's when you can try out the signature Aburi Mosaic Sushi, 16 pieces of delicious sushi made to perfection. Toppings are all kinds of seafood and some with vegetables. Making a reservation is recommended, but so worth it - believe us! 😉
