What is more magnificent than taking a walk amidst the purple heather in August? For this hike, we chose the Strabrechtse Heide, located just southeast of Eindhoven. This is the largest contiguous heathland area in North Brabant, with breathtaking heath fields and countless ponds. The majority of these ponds were originally formed by the wind. This 18-kilometer hiking route leads straight through one of the most impressive nature areas in the Netherlands.
