A road trip in Catalonia during autumn has its advantages. The many waterfalls flow in full glory among the golden leaves, creating a beautiful spectacle! This is certainly true for the popular Sauth deth Pish waterfall in Vielha.
This waterfall has a height of 12 meters and is known as one of the most iconic waterfalls in the Aran Valley. The waterfall consists of two falls, with the 'main fall' being the most impressive. The water from these waterfalls largely comes underground from the Long de Liat lake, which is located a few kilometers to the north.
To reach this waterfall, you must drive along a 12 km paved mountain road. This road is quite narrow and at certain points very steep, so keep this in mind if you are not comfortable with it. There is little space to turn around along the way. Once you arrive, it is only a few hundred meters walk to the viewpoint over the waterfall. It is also a beautiful area for a small walk.
This experience is part of the Grand Tour of Catalonia, part 3.
