A daytrip from Cape Town to Stellenbosch
This small town is a real gem that should never miss from any good South African itinerary. Stellenbosch is located at about 50 km from Cape Town. Not only worth a visit for the beautiful wineries, but this place is also packed with historical buildings, art galleries, little boutiques and great restaurants. There are plenty of vineyards to choose from , so if you're a real foodie and not on a tight schedule, plan to spend a couple of days in Stellenbosch.

Stop 1 : Guardian Peak
With only one day in Stellenbosch , we received a few recommendations from a friend who used to live in Capetown. Guardian Peak was one of the places he recommended. After doing a wine - and cheesetasting, I can definitely confirm this is a place that cannot be missed on your must do list.

Stop 2 : Uva Mira Mountain Vineyard
Uva mira translates 'wonderful grape'. Uva is the Latin word for grape and Mira means wonderful, miraculous and full of charm. And if you're not convinced yet by the name, then you will be by seeing the scenery of the vineyard. You will get to see breathtaking views of False Bay, Table Bay and Table Mountain while tasting some amazing wines. You will have two tasting options at the Uva Mira Vineyard. The Mira Classic Tasting includes three wines while The Mira Collection Tasting includes all 5 wines. And definitely don't forget to try one of their artisanal cheese and savoury meat platters.
