Visiting the beautiful St Peter's Church in Leuven

The first activity of my city trip to Leuven impressed me. We visited the beautiful gothic church located on the main square of Louvain. The whole experience lies in the unique way of discovering it thanks to the Hololens system. It is a service available at the Church reception which allows you to bring to life the works that are being erected before you. The glasses sit on the head and are calibrated using your gaze. Personally, I thought it was great to learn in a better way what we saw in front of us. You simply follow a plan, choosing each time the work you want to look at. And as if by magic, the work comes to life in front of you. You have in particular the works of art by Dirk Bouts including "Altarpiece of the Blessed Sacrament" and also "Triptych of the Last Supper" which were painted around 1464. These are massive works of art and so pretty to see. And even more, in virtual reality. I loved that's fun and immersive way to learn more about the Church and the works on display. I really enjoyed this way of discovering the place because it caught my attention a lot more. The complete visit goes around the Church and takes between 30 and 50 minutes.
