Arrivée à Prague en train et exploration de la ville
Réveillés dans le train de nuit, nous avons pris notre petit-déjeuner avec des vues à couper le souffle sur le paysage tchèque. À notre arrivée à Prague, nous avons rangé nos bagages et sommes directement allés au Musée des Sens, où les enfants ont été émerveillés par les illusions ludiques. Après un délicieux déjeuner italien au Green Tomato, nous avons pris possession de l'hôtel charmant Nerudova 211. La journée s'est terminée par un dîner au Vytopna Train Restaurant, où des mini-trains ont livré nos repas - une journée parfaite pleine de plaisir en famille !
Waking up on the night train
We woke up on the train and spent the entire morning enjoying the gorgeous Czech scenery. Breakfast on board included sandwiches with chocolate spread, jam, yogurt with granola, breakfast crackers, juice, and coffee—a perfect way to start the day! We arrived in Prague around 11 am. The station is safe and beautiful, everything is clearly marked, and there's luggage storage available, so we dropped off our bags and set off to explore the city.
Illusions and fun at the Museum of Senses
This museum is all about illusions. Mirrors, trompe l’oeils, interactive experiences that trick your senses,...the kids loved it! We took lots of fun photos and tried out tons of illusions. There’s even an educational aspect, which is always a plus when it comes through play. A great family activity, fun for all ages.
An Italian lunch at the charming Green Tomato restaurant 🍝
The interior here is pure old Italian charm. It’s a feast for the eyes with unique light fixtures and paintings. The menu features authentic Italian pastas and pizzas, always a hit with the kids, but just as delicious for adults. We tried the seafood risotto, fettucine with tomatoes, mozzarella and basil pesto, pasta bolognese, and a Margherita pizza—everything was delicious. It’s an ideal spot for a cozy family lunch, just a stone’s throw from the station.

Check-in at Nerudova 211 Hotel
This hotel was fantastic. Super welcoming, in a beautiful location with a building full of charm, history, and grandeur. The ceilings are truly incredible, with 18th-century frescoes. The hospitality is top-notch, with every detail thought out. Super friendly staff, always ready to help. There’s a small bar where you can grab complimentary fruit, water, cake, and whiskey daily. There’s also a free laundry service. The rooms come with cozy robes, daily bottled water, and everything else you might need. Our room was amazing. We stayed in room 202, which had two large double beds and a sitting area with a kitchenette. It was very spacious and soundproof, with a beautiful view of a majestic street. The hotel also has a cozy café where you can enjoy an aperitif or a delicious breakfast. This hotel truly elevates your Prague city trip to the next level.

Dining at the Vytopna Railway Restaurant 🚂
A real experience… a restaurant where trains deliver your food! Our kids were absolutely thrilled. You can enjoy tasty steaks (the specialty), burgers, or more traditional dishes like goulash. There’s also a kids’ menu with three options, and they even get a small train-themed gift. Dining out here is never boring. Trains constantly whiz by, delivering food and drinks to the guests. The anticipation of a new order arriving keeps the excitement going. The restaurant has over 900 meters of tracks, ensuring that the trains reach every table. It’s a must-do when traveling with kids, but honestly, it’s just as much fun for us adults ;-).
A sunset walk over Charles Bridge 🌅
The most famous spot in Prague, and for good reason, is Charles Bridge. This bridge over the Vltava River is full of artists, craftsmen, and tourists all soaking in the view. At dusk, it’s a wonderful place to people-watch and enjoy stunning views over the river and towards Prague Castle. Continue your walk along the river towards Kampa Park and enjoy the beautiful sights along the Vltava. There are cozy bars dotted along the way, making it a perfect way to end the day.
