Wandering through history in Troyes

Activity

€ 50 - 100

Tucked away in the Champagne region, Troyes is a hidden gem that feels like a trip through centuries of history. With its cobblestone streets, medieval half-timbered houses, and charming corners, you'll find yourself pausing every few steps to capture the unique details of each building. What to do in Troyes? 🔹 The cathedral of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul with stained glass windows in vibrant colours and a cloister garden. 🔹 The green half-timbered house on the corner of Rue de la Corne de Cerf. 🔹 The peaceful garden behind the Hôtel des Ursins: a little oasis amidst the city. 🔹 Ruelle des Chats: one of Troyes' most iconic and atmospheric spots. Named after the cats that used to leap from roof to roof, this narrow alley is an adventure all on its own. The houses here are so close together that their upper floors almost touch. 🔹 Rue Molé: the half-timbered houses, dating back to the 16th century, with their distinctive wooden beams and pastel facades, line the street like something out of a fairy tale. Very picturesque! 🔹 Rue Champeaux: soak in the local atmosphere at Chez Philippe or Pause et Vous with a glass of champagne. 🔹 Dinner at Le Jardin: an intimate setting in the heart of the city.
