Cooling down in Wadi Bani Khalid
Oman’s most accessible wadi and the perfect spot to cool down after a trip to the desert. From the car park, it’s a short and easy walk to the first pool. The trail next to the wadi, leading to more pools and a cave, is very accessible as well.
Sunset in Sur
The sun is just setting when we pass the coastal town of Sur on the way to our stay in Wadi Tiwi. This of course calls for a short break! Beautiful how the last light of the day illuminates the lighthouse and fortress towers. For the most spectacular view, ascend one of the towers. Sur is renowned for its dhow boat factory. If the craftsmanship of these traditional boats intrigues you, plan your visit accordingly to explore the factory with ample time.
