Exploring lakes and canyons
Your second day in Jasper National Park is all about exploring lakes and discovering a canyon. From tranquillity at Patricia and Pyramid Lakes to the dramatic depths of Maligne Canyon, and finally unwinding at the lakeside beach of Annette Lake.

Peaceful morning at Patricia and Pyramid Lakes
Start your day on a serene note with a visit to Patricia Lake. Have a quick stop at the lake's viewpoints before heading to nearby Pyramid Lake. A short walk leads to Pyramid Island, a perfect spot to admire the soaring Pyramid Mountain. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife - early mornings are their time to shine!

Hiking at Maligne Canyon
This limestone gorge plunges up to 50 meters deep and is dotted with waterfalls and pools. The trail follows a series of six bridges, each offering a new perspective of the canyon's raw beauty. Whether you tackle the full 12 km (out and back) to the sixth bridge or take a shorter stroll, it's a must-do hike.

Ending the day at the beach
Both Edith Lake and Annette Lake are beautiful places to relax on the beach and take a cooling dip. First try Edith Lake. Too crowded? Head to Annette Lake. The beach is the most popular area of the lake. Take a short walk along the right side of the lake to find a pier and small coves to have to yourself.
