Back to Chiang Mai
The road between Pai and Chiang Mai is known for its stunning scenery, winding curves, and mountainous terrain. It's approximately 130 kilometers long and takes around 3-4 hours to drive.

Back to Chiang Mai
The road between Pai and Chiang Mai is widely known for its numerous hairpin turns and winding sections, with estimates ranging from around 700 to over 1,000 curves along the route. These curves contribute to the road's reputation for being challenging, especially during the rainy season when it may become slippery. This route tends to be the busiest of the loop, as it is frequented by many minivans, trucks, and other vehicles. While my husband is an experienced driver and found the road manageable, I would advise caution for beginners.

Mok fa waterfall
After a 77 km drive, you can take a break at the Mok Fa Waterfall. We visited around 5 pm and were the only ones there. It's a nice stop to loosen up your body from the curvy drive.

Back in Chiang Mai
Congratulations, you've made it! Reward yourself by returning your motorbike and indulging in a delicious cocktail at Nophaburi Bar. Prepare to be amazed by the unique flavors and high-quality drinks – they don't serve your standard cocktails here, and that's what makes it so special! For dinner, head to 'It's Good Kitchen', a local Thai food hotspot. Don't be discouraged by the line; it moves quickly. (;
