Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, Lobamba, Eswatini

Taking it easy at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

When continuing this trip further South, we will first make a stop in Eswatini (Swaziland). A small country , enclosed by South Africa and Mozambique, and one of the few remaining kingdoms in Africa. Mlilwane is part of the three Big Game Parks in Swaziland: Hlane Royal National Park, Mkhaya Game Reserve and Mlilwane Game Reserve (also known as Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary). Mlilwane is the most visited of the three wildlife sanctuaries and offers many different attractions for visitors and a variety of accommodations. We stayed one night at the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. A place where you can easily use your own car for a selfdrive or book another guided safari tour. You can also explore the beautiful nature in the reserve on foot, horseback or mountain bike (all with or without a guide). The Rest Camp is not fenced and is constantly surrounded by animals such as impala, nyala, zebras, ostriches, and many other goats and antelope.
