Taking the long-tail boat and discovering Wat Pho
Taking the long-tail boat to Taling Chan floating market and the Reclining Budha

Taking the long-tail boat to Taling Chan floating market
After a refreshing morning in our rooftop swimming pool, we made our way to Santi Chan Prakan Park and took a long-tail boat to Taling Chan Floating Market. There are dozens of floating markets in Bangkok, but we found this one to be a cosy and well-organized. We got some food and attended a live concert and then got back on the boat again.

Admiring the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho
After a hour or so on the Taling Chan floating market, we got on the boat that took us to Wat Pho, the oldest Buddhist temple complex of the city and home to the amazing Reclining Buddha. The image of the Reclining Buddha represents the entry of Buddha into Nirvana and the end of all reincarnations. The figure is 15 m high and 46 m long, and it is one of the largest Buddha statues in Thailand. It is jaw-dropping for sure. The kids loved wandering around the complex.
