Our first day in Bangkok

Checking in and discovering Bangkok at night

After a long trip, we arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport and took a taxi for an hour drive to our hotel - Rambuttri Village Hotel, a nice middle-class hotel located at Rambuttri Alley, next to the famous Khao San Road (remember the opening scene from 'The Beach', anyone?). When the doors of our ride opened, we got welcomed by the lively atmosphere and the smell of amazing street food. After grabbing a watermelon shake and a pad thai, we checked in at our hotel, ready for a good night rest. Although the hotel is located in a buzzing area, nights are quiet and peaceful.
