Away from the crowds of Keukenhof, we discovered this lovely alternative: The Tulip Barn in Hillegom. No landscaped park, no hordes of tourists with selfie sticks – just a relaxing spot among the real tulip fields. We parked for free (yep, just next to the fields), got a drink at the bar, and settled in the sun with a view of a sea of flowers.
