On the north side of Madeira, in the village of Santana, you will find the famous Casas Típicas de Santana—traditional triangular houses with thatched roofs. These charming houses date back to the 16th century and were originally built by local farmers using natural materials like wood and straw. It’s a very photogenic spot that you have to visit while on Madeira island! For more information check out my blog post in the link.
