All-day canoe trip from Camp Grinsby
Northwest of Swedish largest lake, near the Norwegian border, you find Camp Grinsby. The language your hear at this campground is often Dutch because Belgians will know this place better as “Camping Coppens”. This famous Belgian TV-family moved a couple years ago to live their dream to own a campground in Sweden. We spent one night here and totally get why they chased their dream. The location near this beautiful lake is simply gorgeous. Rent a canoe for a day and go explorer this gigantic lake. It has multiple island that are part of Camp Grinsby where you can go on land and chill in the shelters. We really enjoyed our sunny day on the lake!

Sunset boondocking spot near Tiveden NP
On our way to Tiveden National Park we searched for a boondocking spot on a lake nearby. Via the specialized boondocking apps we found this little gem. Again on the eastern shore of a lake (= the best spot to catch sunset) and on a little road with limited traffic. Along this part of the lake you had multiple little spots that are perfect for spending the night. This was also our last night with our rental van. So blessed to have had this amazing last sunset as a goodbye to our van and our lovely week touring in Central-Sweden.
