Lunch @ Tribowl

We arrived in Stockholm with the airport train around noon. The perfect time for a delicious lunch. We found this cute Swedish lunch bar called 'Tribowl'. It has a selection of bowls with Swedish twists. The owner is a super nice guy giving you plenty of tips to do in Stockholm. The perfect start of our quick visit to Stockholm!

Conseil : Si vous avez vos bagages avec vous et que vous ne pouvez pas encore vous enregistrer à votre hôtel, vous pouvez utiliser les grandes casiers de la gare centrale. Ze passen gemakkelijk in een grote koffer.

Strolling around the old city center

Stockholm is a city that consists of 16 separate islands. Since we only had a few hours of spare time, we decided to stroll along the cobbled streets of the old town: Gamla Stan. On this island there are plenty of highlights to see like the royal palace, the Nobel price museum and even a funny little juice bar with oranges stacked against the windows. A must stop for your healthy portion of juice!

Après notre promenade à Gamla Stan, nous nous sommes enregistrés à notre hôtel près de la gare.

Delicious Scandinavian dinner @ Plais

In the lively neighborhood of Södermalm you can find many restaurants. We came for a restaurant recommended here by a fellow Daymaker, but weren't lucky to score a table here. After strolling around for a few minutes we stumbled upon a restaurant called Plais. Hosted in an old industrial building, it immediately had the right vibe. The open kitchen uses a charcoal grill to cook you delicious meals. We went for fish toasts and steak tartare appetizers followed by the most delicious grilled fish we have ever eaten. To end our 3-course dinner with a white chocolate - pistachio - raspberry - merengue dessert. If you like pure ingredients prepared with passion and creativity, this place most be on your list for your next trip to Stockholm!
