Jour 3
À la chasse au trésor au marché aux puces, exploration de nouveaux quartiers et détente dans le magnifique parc El Retiro.

Start the day at El rastro
What better way to start a Sunday (or public holiday) than at the flea market? From clothing to art and from books to vinyl, you will find everything here. Antique shops and vintage clothing stores in the side streets are open and can hide unique pieces.

La Latina: lively area with medieval heritage
After spending the morning at the flea market, La Latina is the place to be to enjoy cañas (beer) and tapas just like the locals do.

Lavapiés: where you meet the world
Walking from La Latina to El Retiro, you pass through Lavapiés, a very multicultural neighbourhood. Here you'll find many traditional Indian, Pakistani, Middle Eastern, African and Asian shops and restaurants. This all contributes to the neighbourhood's unique character and vibe.

Relaxing in El Retiro
El Retiro is an oasis of tranquility in the busy city centre and is a great place to unwind. Lay down in the grass and enjoy the sun, enjoy a boat ride on the pond or walk through the rose garden. Certainly check if there's an interesting art expo in Palacio de Cristal, since it is often closed on Sunday's.

Italian flavours in a spectacular setting
Bel Mondo restaurant is decorated with great attention to detail and every corner is photo-worthy. Order a mix of antipasti to share and take the truffle pizza or carbonara pasta as a main dish.
