Moose Lake, Canada

A stop at Moose Lake

On our way to Jasper, we had a quick stop at Moose Lake. If you're lucky (we weren't) you could see a moose.

Visit to Jasper

Jasper is a cute little town, perfect to shop for some souvenirs (you can find some more authentic and non cliché stuff) and to grab something to eat. We ate breakfast at Papa George's Restaurant, which I would definitely recommend.

Pyramid Lake, Canada

Kajacking at Pyramid Lake

Pyramid Lake is nestled at the base of Pyramid Mountain. There are various hiking trails and you can also walk to Pyramid Island. We'd also rented a kayak and spent an hour having fun on the lake.

Athabasca River, Canada

The Athabasca Falls

The Athabasca Falls are a must-see when in Jasper National park. They are quite impressive. Make sure to not only have a look at the waterfalls and then turn around again, but do the short hike down to the river.

Mount Edith Cavell, Canada

Mount Edith Cavell

We did the Path of the Glacier trail, a short, moderate trail to the north side of Mount Edith Cavell, across a rocky landscape. You arrive at a viewpoint overlooking Cavell Pond and the layered ice of Cavell Glacier.
