We spent a full week at La Cabane des Remparts in Montpezat-de-Quercy, in the heart of Occitanie, and it was the perfect spot to relax and completely unwind. Nestled in a peaceful setting, the cabin invites you to slow down, recharge, and soak in the quiet beauty of the region.
What makes it even more special is its location. Just a short drive away, you’ll find some of France’s most charming medieval towns, like Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Cahors, and Albi. Each town is full of history and atmosphere, with winding streets, old stone houses, and incredible views. And if you go, make sure to check out the ancient bridges. They’re true works of art!
Of course, no trip to Occitanie is complete without enjoying the food. In Cahors, we had an unforgettable dinner at Bonnie, while in Montpezat-de-Quercy itself, La Table de Cardinal served some of the most delicious dishes we tasted all week.
La Cabane des Remparts is more than just a place to stay. It’s a cozy base for exploring, relaxing, and savoring everything this beautiful part of France has to offer.
