Calella de Palafrugell is naar mijn mening samen met Begur één van de allermooiste regio's van Catalonië. De prachtige kustlijn, pittoreske visserdorpjes en topgastronomie spreken voor zich. Hét hotel bij uitstek om dit alles te ervaren is het Sant Roc Hotel dat zijn naam niet gestolen heeft. Dit boetiekhotel torent uit boven de kust en biedt dan ook een adembenemend zeezicht vanuit zowel de kamers als het eigen restaurant. De dinerkaart is er trouwens een absolute aanrader, al was het uitgebreide ontbijt bij zonsopgang wellicht ons absolute hoogtepunt.
