In the Nakasongola region you will find Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the proud home of the only wild so-called ''white'' rhinos in Uganda. 🦏 Ziwa is a safe(r) place where the rhino population can be expanded by protecting them from poaching and predators and promoting reproduction. Thus, the rhinos are monitored 24/7 by trained rangers. Although you'll find mostly rhinos in Ziwa, you'll also spot a wide variety of bird species and other wildlife here.
