Spend the day in Marseille
After three days of hiking with a heavy backpack, rest your feet in the city of Marseille. Some highlights: - Le Panier - Cathedrale de la Major - Soap stores / savonneries - Eating at Les Grandes Halles - A quick stop at Plage des Catalans - Strolling around Vieux Port - Parc Longchamp

A stroll around Vieux Port and the cathedrale de la Major
No better place to start than the old harbour of Marseille, the beating heart of the city. There is no avoiding tourists here, but make sure to enjoy the calm waters and the views on the Notre Dame de la Garde. A second stop could be the cathédrale de la Major, an impressive cathedral with an Italian atmosphere.

Explore Le Panier
A tiny little quartier in the city, right next to the city’s historic harbour that today has become a tourist attraction for visitors. It is home to a flourishing arts scene, with numerous galleries, studios, and street art installations scattered throughout. Take a moment to admire the local artwork and let it inspire you.

Lunch at Les Grandes Halles
Les Grandes Halles du Vieux-Port is a food court in a beautiful historic building offering tasty street-food. Eat out on the spacious, open-air terrace or enjoy the interior, inspired by Sardinian stone and olive wood. In the morning, you can enjoy an espresso at the Bar Central, but the place fully comes to life at lunch: We ordered a plate of shawarma, hummus and tabouleh for lunch at La Vallée du Liban but the pizza, pasta, sandwiches and sea food platters also do justice.
