Time to tell you all about one of our favorite experiences we had in Vietnam: a tour to the Paradise and Dark caves in Phong Nha! This was a day packed with adventure, fun, and… mud, but more on that later ;-) You’ll start your day with a nice visit to Phong Nha’s botanical garden, where you’ll hike for about 20 minutes to see the mesmerizing Wind Waterfall. For this, you’ll have to do a relaxing hike of about 20 minutes. Then, it’s off to the next stop of the tour! Next up is Paradise Cave, one of the most spectacular caves in the world. The cave stretches for over 31 kilometers, and once you step inside you will know that it did not steal its name! The entry via the wooden stairs is rather small, but the moment you step inside you will see giant chambers with countless stalactites, stalagmites, and other formations. Actually really cool to see, and definitely worth an hour or so of strolling around this place. And of course, we saved the best for last. The Dark Cave was the highlight of our tour, for various reasons! First of all, you get to ride an adventurous zipline over water. How cool is that? And after this thrilling ride, you get to explore the Dark Cave where you get treated to a... natural mud bath! We can't believe we say this but we LOVED it! Chilling and floating in the muddy water was so much fun! And after all this is done, you still have about 2 hours of water fun, free to do whatever you want. A day well spent if you ask us!
