With the Ferry from Vancouver to Vancouver Island
This 1u30min boat trip with BC Ferries takes you from Tsawwassen (Vancouver) to Victoria (Vancouver Island). Make sure to book your ticket beforehand. During the summer period, there is a ferry every other hour, but it can get busy and if you didn't buy a ticket beforehand, it's possible that you have to wait some time. The other way around: if you did buy a ticket for a certain timeslot, and you arrive early, they put you on the earlier ferry. You can park your rental car on the boat and relax on the dek. Enjoy the view!

A walk to the Goldstream Falls
No need to take your car. Start at the Goldstream camp ground and walk to the Goldstream Falls. It's a moderate hike, 10km long.
