Gorges de Toulourenc - Stunning, refreshing & dog-friendly hike in the Provence

Activity

free

The Provence is the ideal walking destination to discover with your four-legged friend. There are plenty walks and activities to do where your dog will be welcome. The walk through the Gorges de Toulourenc is an incredible fun activity to do. The full hike is actually in the crystal clear, cool water of the river as it runs gently through the valley. The perfect refreshment on a hot summer day! Depending on the size of your dog, there are parts where they can just walk through the water, other parts might need them to swim for short distance. So even if your dog is not very keen on being in the water (like ours), it’s a great opportunity to learn them to swim and build confidence in the water. Les Gorges de Toulourenc are located below the northern slopes of the Mont Ventoux, running from Montbrun Les Bains towards Malaucene. The full loop is around 10 km. Please be carefull and avoid this hike on bad weather days, because the water can rise very high quickly.
