Arrival in the land of fado

Culture
Walking, cooling off with water from a fountain. This viewpoint is located at the top of the old historic district of Alfama. You can reach it after a steep climb or by taking tram 28. The square is particularly atmospheric and cozy with animation and plenty of greenery and flowers. The view over the old district and the Tagus River is beautiful.
Tower of Belem and Cascais
The oldest building in Belém is the iconic Torre De Belém from 1515. Many locals see this as the most important and well-known building in Portugal, as the tower stands at the exact spot where explorer Vasco da Gama began his expedition. Once inside, it is worth climbing all the way to the top, due to the beautiful view over Lisbon. The various rooms in the tower are also impressive to see.
Tram 28!
The iconic tram 28 is one of the most famous attractions in Lisbon. The route runs through the historic center of the city. You ride in a vintage tram past many sights, including in the neighborhoods of Baixa, Graça, Mouraria, Alfama, and Estrela. A bumpy ride of about 50 minutes. During the ride, you will see the most beautiful spots in the city in an authentic and affordable way.
