The Belgian Ardennes are an ideal destination for a short escape from our daily lives. During our two-day adventure, we discovered both the lively atmosphere of the city and the tranquility of nature.
On the first day, we explored Liège, a city full of character, where historical charm and modern shops go hand in hand. We enjoyed the atmospheric streets, the hustle and bustle of the markets, and of course a touch of Belgian gastronomy.
In the evening, we headed to B&B Ferme La Joye, a charming and welcoming bed & breakfast run by Flemish people. The cozy atmosphere and quiet location made it the perfect place to relax after a day in the city.
The next morning, we exchanged the city bustle for the fresh air of the Ardennes and headed to Achouffe, a picturesque village known for its brewery and beautiful hiking trails. Amid rolling hills, dense forests, and babbling brooks, we enjoyed the peace and beauty of nature.
This report takes you on our journey – from shopping street to forest path, from Liège to Achouffe, with a stop at a warm and welcoming B&B.
