Waterfront wandering
Discovering Tokyo waterfront & seeing the city at 450m in the sky!

Morning at Senso-Ji and Asakusa
Spend the morning at a very busy, yet very impressive temple: Senso-Ji. Lots of people are dressed like traditional geisha’s here, offering good photo opportunities. Especially in the smaller streets surrounding the temple: make sure not to miss those.

Walk around the waterfront to Akihabara
Now follow the water slowly towards the Akihabara Electric Town. This road made me think of Southern Europe a bit: people jogging next to the water, sunshine, little banks to chill on, … Loved it. The little streets leading you to Akihabara once you leave the waterside are great for photography too > this is real, local Tokyo! Beautiful to walk around and an area that you won’t often see in travel guides. Thank me later ☺️

Akihabara electric town
Enter the electric town of Tokyo: Akihabara! Full of chaos and shops filled with electric items (anything you can think of) and gaming rooms. You won’t find anything like this in Europe, let me tell you 😉

Sunset at Tokyo SkyTree
This is an experience that’ll make you speechless! At Tokyo SkyTree you admire the city from 450m above the ground. Cra-zy beautiful, especially at sunset time. I went up at 16h00, perfect during winter to catch the soft evening light.
