Piazza di S. Agostino 8, Rome, Italy

A hidden gem: Biblioteca Angelica

On our way to Piazza Navona we passed the little Piazza di Sant’Agostino. The basilica is the most prominent on this square, but to us the Biblioteca Angelica is by far the most striking! Go up the stairs and admire the centuries old biblioteca with books and globes from the 16th century and even a copy of a reworked ‘La divina commedia’ from Dante Alighieri.

Afternoon
Borgo Pio, Rome, Italy

Gelato at the cosy Borgo Pio

The Borgo Pio is one of Rome’s most vibrant streets on “the other side” of the river. Close to the Vatican, this neighborhood can be quite crowded. But most people go directly to Saint Peter’s Square while this street is located one block further from the river. We shopped some Italian leather and went for a sweet Italian gelato.
