Day 1: All about waterfalls

Jura is known for its various waterfalls. On day 1, we visited some gems from this long list of unique waterfalls. In summer and dry weather, some waterfalls can be almost dry, so take note that sometimes it can be less impressive than expected. The waterfalls we visited: - Cascade de Hérisson (very touristic!) - Cascade des Combes - Cascade de la Queue de Cheval

Day 2: Pig de l’Aigle et Belvédère des 4 lacs

From waterfalls to lakes. The “4 Lacs” walk did not get its name by accident. From the Pig de l'Aigle, a peak 993m high, you are treated to a view of the Jura plateau and 4 beautiful lakes. This hike runs along a ridge with panoramic views.

Day 3: City of Genève

On day 3, we cross the border and dive into the city. Just a 1-hour drive away, you'll reach the bustling city of Geneva. Stroll around the beautiful old town and be sure to check out the distinctive Jet d'Eau, a fountain no less than 140m high!

Day 4: Panoramic walk Crêt de la Neige

Those who love panoramic views will not know where to look during this hike. Cret de la Neige is the highest mountain peak in the French Jura region. With an almost continuous view on some Alpine four-thousanders, you are hiking in a real paradise for mountain lovers! In Lélex, you can take the lift up to save some altitude metres.

Day 5: Hike to la Dôle

On the last day, a brisk hike was scheduled just across the border in Switzerland. The Dôle is a mountain in the Swiss Jura of 1677 metres high. Several hiking trails allow you to climb to the top, where you will enjoy fantastic views over Lake Geneva and the Alps. A small disclaimer: at the top of the summit are a large radar installation and the terminus of a cable car.
