Time to get back to Colombo
From Galle Fort it's very easy to get back to Colombo with public transport: it only took me a few hours by train. When getting closer to Colombo, you'll get back to 'big city life' and leave the calm, peace and relaxing nature of Sri Lanka behind. After arriving in the railway station, I got in a tuktuk that took me to my palace for my last in night in Sri Lanka.

For my final night backpacking in Sri Lanka, I allowed myself some luxury so I booked a room at the Granbell Hotel Colombo. The hotel was very fancy and the room was amazing and so spacious. There was a rooftop bar and an infinity rooftop pool with sea view. Price: less then €45! Honestly, this was th best way to end my first solo backpacking trip.
