Portugal
Day 1
Since we had an early flight from belgium to lisbon, the best way to spend the day is check in the hotel and explore the city.

Check in at Valverde Lisboa Hotel & Garden
All I can say about our stay here is wow. I was actually really sad when we handed in our roomkey at check-out. Upon arrival they actually let us know that we got a roomupgrade (it really does happen folks!) So we were lucky to stay in the junior suite during our trip. The room was stunning and equipped with all necessities. The staff was kind and approachable.

Lunch at Dama E Vagabundo
If you’re a fan of Italian cuisine this is a great spot. We ordered the carbonara and the boscaiola wich I both recommend because they were so creamy and cheesy. Ofcourse the pasta was not complete with a nice glass of rosé.

See the sights
We walked around he city center mostly along the water. Hanging around Praça do Comércio was really fun watching all the people go by and enjoying the nice weather. We made our way through the shopping street entering some stores. Then passing the Santa Justa-Lift we were headed to the pink street to have a drink. It was a really nice atmosphere with all the people out on the terrace and live music playing. We discovered a fun bar called “collect”. They had a wall full of vinyl records and as a collector myself we decided to have a drink here. I don’t advise to get the cocktails since they’re a little overpriced but the food looked really good and they had loads of other options.
